The Wagyu Beef rump simply needs a sprinkling of salt rubbed into it before grilling in a griddle. The fat that seeps out of the meat can be used to baste the steak in the pan, leaving with you a simply beautiful flavour and melt-in-the-mouth texture. Serve with a mushroom salad, or triple cooked chips if you’re feeling indulgent!

Japanese Wagyu is a truly stunning variety of beef and will blow you away. It is very different from any other beef and until 2015 was unavailable in the UK. Strict rules are adhered to in the rearing and grading of Japanese Wagyu Rump Steaks so that the quality is always maintained. Our Wagyu is reared from cattle in the Kagoshima prefecture of Japan.

Kagoshima Wagyu is incredibly tender with an intense, rich flavour. The meat is heavily marbled with fine, evenly distributed snowflake patterns of fat, which derives from a diet rich in wheat and corn for the final 18 months of feeding.

Wagyu has rosy-red coloured meat with dense marbling of white fat. The cows are fed a diet rich in wheat and corn for the final 18 months of their lives so the flavour is intense and the texture is melt in the mouth soft.
